OUR CURRENT NEWSLETTER: In the opening of the Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock, Texas was established a publication entitled, Silent Wings Museum Newsletter, The Legacy of the World War II Glider Pilots. Today, all paid members of the Association are members of the museum and receive the newsletter at no additional charge. The format is similar to Mr Horn’s previous Association newsletter as it contains news items provided by our Association. The primary purpose of this newsletter is to advise all members of the Museum about the status of the Silent Wing Museum and related activities as well as some of the goings on with the Association. Since the Newsletter was the Legacy of the Glider Pilots the museum staff has gone that extra mile to continue the communications link with our Association members. What is missing are the newsy editorial items and articles that were written by Bill Horn and Letters to the Editor in his newsletter. What has recently been added are the articles written by the Research Team based on contacts with veterans, discoveries in the Historical documents and information discovered from the family attic.
Become a member of the Association and receive this very informative and enlightening newsletter containing stories from the veterans, members and the Research Team.
