Seal of the National WWII Glider Pilots Association

SILENT WINGS MUSEUM NEWSLETTER

The SILENT WINGS newsletter, a privately owned publication, served as the Voice of the World War II Combat Glider Pilot for over twenty-eight years.  Sadly, Mr. William K. Horn, the founder and editor, passed away on September 15, 2001.  This ended publication of Mr Horn’s newsletter. As a private newsletter, subscription was separate from the Association dues at an additional cost of $2.00 to members. Association members accepted this publication as the “official” newsletter of all glider pilots and many veterans submitted colorful and serious stories about their experiences in WWII.

The Research Team now brings, to the puplic, the early newsletters with these great stories that first began in 1973. These will be published out of order as we come across them for projects.
