PERSERVING TROOP CARRIER AND GLIDER PERSONNEL FILES
AND PHOTOS IN PERPETUITY THOUGH RESEARCH AND OUT REACH
At the Silent Wings Museum, in the library/archive room, there are file cabinets holding over 7000 folders with a
glider pilots name written on the outside of the folder. This system is referred to as the bio-files.
The names on each of the bio-file folders come from this association’s database which is also used to list our
KIAs and DOLs. However, many of the file are empty.
We need your HELP. The WWII veteran glider pilots, with the help of their Research Team, are making an effort to fill those files.
But they cannot do all the research themselves. If you know anyone listed on this site or have documentation,
photos or stories please contact us. Unlike personal social media sites the information you provide to our association goes into
the bio-file of the veteran’s folder at the Silent Wings Museum for Perpetuity. Any original photos you donate go into a cold storage facility
for photo preservation. Please help our veterans with this endevour by providing any information that you have regarding any of the names listed in our
lists. A sincere thank you from the Executive Council,
